Casey Carlay

This past week my studio assignment was strobe/ambient mix.  We had to use the studio lighting outside along with the available light in order to make a successful portrait.  I thought this was a great opportunity to capture my great friend Casey! Casey and I went on Teens Camping Tour of the West together in 2010.  On that trip we became very close friends and I was so excited when she started attending Appalachian in the fall! Casey is such a great person to hang out with and is so gorgeous.  We had a blast shooting even though the softbox kept blowing over and it was freezing outside  (just minor details, right?) Thanks again Casey for being my model!

This shoot was very similar to what I hope to accomplish with my final project coming up.  I am planning on doing an American Eagle Holiday fashion Ad with 6 shots.  I'm really looking forward to shooting after Thanksgiving Break, but also very nervous because this one project counts 25% of my final grade.  I'm hoping to blow it out of the park though, so keep on a look out!

Here are the final shots from my shoot with Casey! I entered the last two images into the Nikon student contest, so wish me luck! As always, your feedback is appreciated.
