My boyfriend and I joke every now and then that we are taking a "Boulder Vacation Day." Usually, one of these days occur when we want to take a day off of work, school, and second jobs to spend time together or when the weather is too nice to be productive! We have enjoyed a few of these Boulder Vacations together, and they are no comparison to the vacation week we just spent with our family! My Mom and Grandma arrived in Colorado along with Hadi's Dad, Mom and Sister for a week of fun. I really loved showing our family where we live in Colorado, where we work and why we are so passionate about living in Boulder! One of the best ways to get to know someone better is by sharing a meal- I'm glad our families were able to connect while enjoying some amazing food! It was the first trip that our families experienced together, and it was so nice seeing how well everyone gets along. It was also kind of interesting to see how similar our family dynamics are! Having my family here made Boulder feel even more like home. Our families know that Hadi and I are happy and thriving in a beautiful place- both his and my mom said that made them feel better than anything! To wrap up our time together, I captured a few family photos at Chautauqua Park while we gazed at the sunset in awe of the beginning of fall in the Rocky Mountains. This trip made me realize that I have to see my family more often because saying goodbye was so hard. These images help remind me of the great time we had and make me look forward to when we are together again! Also, Thank you Don (Hadi's Dad) for helping capture imagery that included me in the photo! It doesn't happen as often as I'd like.
