A week ago, I moved into my boyfriend's apartment in Boulder, CO. I have enjoyed spending more time with him and getting to know Boulder better! Boulder really is one of the most beautiful places to live in the United States. I have been praying and searching for a job, and have had a few interviews so far. I am so thankful to have Hadi there to support me in so many ways..I really would not be in Colorado anymore if not for him. He is one of the most kind, genuine and thoughtful people I know and I wake up every day just in awe of my life! As a thank you and celebration of one week successfully living together, I wanted to show Hadi some of my favorite spots in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs is a special place for me because it is where I first saw the Rocky Mountains and began my journey to find myself on Teens Camping Tour of the West in 2010. The first sight of the Rockies is a Moment I will always remember, as it reminds me of why I live in Colorado now. Sitting by the Shoshone river 5 years ago, I made a promise to myself that I would live each day to the fullest, never forget where I came from, and that I would one day live in the Rocky Mountains. I have kept every part of that promise..but it is now time to make a new promise to myself. A new goal, to push myself to my full potential and reach for the stars. This weekend, we visited one of my favorite places- The Garden of the Gods, and participated in the Lantern Festival. Lighting your lantern and releasing it into the sky symbolizes a new beginning, and a chance to make a wish. With the lantern release, I had the opportunity to make that new promise/wish/goal for myself. I am delighted I could experience the lantern release with someone I love very much. Here are photos from our experience- from our phones because sometimes it is better to have less to carry and enjoy being present in the moment.
