I am thankful to have many friends in my life who are genuine and passionate in life.  Having friends who I can confide in, grow with, and gather inspiration from is so incredible.  One of those friends gained in college and have been growing closer with since moving back to Raleigh in March.  Haley is down to earth, witty, and incredibly caring.  She utilizes these traits daily in her classroom as she teaches science at a local year-round middle school.  Her passion for working with kids has developed from working as a camp counselor in college, to connecting with families in parks when she utilized her recreation degree, and now in her current position at East Cary Middle.  She will not admit that she is inspiring, but many people in her life have recognized her incredible efforts.  Recently, she was nominated by one of her students for an award as a leading woman in science.  Quintiles, IMS recognized her as a woman who excels in her classroom and goes above and beyond for her students.  I was thankful to be apart of celebrating Haley with her family and friends as she received her award at the Durham Bulls.  Here are some photos captured from the evening!
