This weekend while home in Raleigh I had the chance to meet up with Katie Menaugh and her Mom Christina for a photo shoot!  It was so nice to see them and just hang out.  I always say that I'd rather hang out with the people I am photographing instead of focusing a lot of energy on posing.  By doing that the photos are more genuine with natural smiles and natural posing.  Its not in any way cheesy, and thats how I'd rather have it be.  I'm so thankful to have a family like the Menaughs to photograph every time I am home! They are the nicest ladies who I can truly be myself around.  Sometimes photography can bring strangers together, and this is definitely the case.  I have been taking photos of Katie for a while now, and every time we go on a shoot we always have a blast! I'm so glad that her Mom came along for this one because it mixed up the dynamic a little bit.  The Menaughs are a family that I look forward to keeping in touch with for a long time!
